Vangvieng is a city in norther Laos, halfway between Luang Prabang and Vientiane. It seems to attract especially backpackers. There are a couple of interesting caves near Vangvieng. Tubing and kayaking on the Nam Song river is very popular. It is a nice relaxing little town.
