There is quite a bit of bird life in the Caribbean. There are a lot of endemic species, I saw one in Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rican Tody (Todus mexicanus, german: Gelbflankentodi, french: Todier de Porto Rico). In Cuba I saw a lot of endemic birds.
